A fully synthetic, polyalkylene glycol based gear oil typically used with worm gears found in a variety of industrial applications. Syngear SW 320 allows thermally stable operation at temperatures in excess of 200˚C. Typical applications include the lubrication of calendars, piston compressors and bevel, spriral bevel, helical, enclosed spur and worm gear units. It remains homogenous from below its pour point to temperatures in excess of 250˚C. The anticipated service lifetime of this grade is substantially in excess of 10,000 hours at 100˚C. In industrial enclosed gear units the performance allows for extended drain intervals and, in some cases, for operation as a ‘Fill for Life’ lubricant.
