Excelguard 501 Solvent Deposited, Water Displacing Rust Preventative:
Excelguard 501 is a solvent-deposited, water-displacing corrosion preventative. This formulation is a blend of de-watering agents, corrosion inhibitors, hydrocarbon mineral oils, synthetic sulphonates, and hydrocarbon solvents. It provides short-term protection for ferrous and aluminum alloy components, leaving a light, oily anti-corrosion film upon application. Excelguard 501 is particularly well-suited for inter-process protection after machining.
Benefits:
Excelguard 501 is best applied by dipping, spraying, or brushing. When using a tank for application, periodically drain off any residual water. Allow up to 50 minutes for drying. Note that long-term exposure may affect some rubbers and plastics.
